In the world of constant technological development, the newest invention on the market is a chip that allows people to control their dreams. Dubbed the "LucidLink” this tiny device is implanted into the brain and allows the user to manipulate their subconscious, creating the ultimate virtual reality experience.

As it becomes more popular, reports begin to surface of users becoming stuck in never-ending nightmares, unable to wake up. Outrage ensues as the public demands answers from the company behind the chip.

Experts are divided on the cause of the glitch. Some speculate that it may be due to a malfunction in the chip itself, while others believe it could be a result of individual differences in brain chemistry.

As a result, the LucidLink is recalled and the company behind it is forced to pay reparations to the affected users.

Despite the recall, however, rumors circulate that underground tech enthusiasts are still using the LucidLink, seeking out the most extreme and immersive virtual reality experience at any cost.
